Subsidized Stafford Loan
This is a long term, low interest loan designed to provide student with additional funds for college. It is available to full or half time undergraduate and graduate students, based upon financial need. This loan does need to be repaid, payments are not due while the borrower is still attending school. There is a grace period of six (6) months after completion of studies before repayment begins. You can repay this loan in up to ten (10) years.

Unsubsidized Stafford Loan
Also a long term, low interest loan, the Unsubsidized Stafford Loan provides additional funding for college based upon finiacial need. It is available to full or half time undergraduate students. Principal is deferred six months after the student has graduated. Interest, however is required to be paid during the life of the loan. Interest can be capitalized (added to principal) if the student does not want to pay it during the in-school time.

Maximum Annual Loan Limits for Stafford Loans Disburse On or After July 1, 2008.
